Kannada Jilleya Itihasa’ by M. Ganapathi Rao Aigal (Reprint of 1923 edition, and an important source book to
study the history of South Canara), ‘Kanakadasaru’
by Dr. Kabbinale Vasanth Bharadwaj (an introduction to Kanakadasa), ‘Ranga Vidyeya Holabu’ by Dr.
Raghava Nambiar (a verbal documentation
of interesting historical details of Yakshagana, its grammar and
aesthetics), ‘Haribhaktisaara’, by A. Narasimha Bhat (English translation of
Kanakadasa’s devotional poem), ‘Shikshanadalli
Bhashe mattu Madhyamada Samasyegalu’ by Dr. Mahabaleshwara Rao (thoughts on
education, mother tongue, communication etc) and ‘Aajeevakaru mattu Kelavu Vedottara Darshanika Belavanigegalu’ by Prof. P. Shripathi Tantri (a combination of
scholarship and research about some of the philosophical and sociological aspects of Ancient India).
